The Glamour of League One
By: Stuart | October 22nd, 2007O.k, I’ve not posted much of late, but I have a decent excuse – I’ve been asleep a lot.
Anyway, Forest’s unbeaten run now stretches to 8 games following the goalless draw against Doncaster Rovers at the weekend, and they recorded their seventh clean sheet in eleven league games.
It was always going to be a tough game, as Donny play a style of dirty football that is guaranteed to give their opponents’ physios as much running to do as the players. Added to this, it was ‘kids for a quid’ at the City Ground, a special offer that also happens to be a curse on the team. The same goes for our televised games.
The Reds are away at Luton Town on Saturday, and haven’t lost on the road all season. I nearly opted to study in Luton, until I went to an open day there and discovered that the entire town is grey.
I’ll stop slagging everyone off now, apart from Derby who failed to beat 10 men despite having 8 million chances.

Only EIGHT games unbeaten? Eh. We can’t all be Leeds fans.

You’re right Matthew, we can’t all be Leeds fans, and thank Christ for that!
I think if we all had cowboy Ken as Chairman then suicide rates would go through the roof.

I just keep repeating “at least he’s better than Ridsdale” over and over in my head. It’s that or cry.

Robert Mugabe would be better than Ridsdale. I do think Leeds will go up this season, but with the current people in charge (a cheat and a thug) there’s always a chance things will go belly-up again next season.

Yeah, at least Mugabe would have some celebrity about him. I’m pretty confident that we’ll be promoted this season, although I think a few years spent building a squad in the Championship and attracting investment is the best we can hope for in the short term future.
