Where’s Lennon?
By: Stuart | October 31st, 2007
Neil Lennon was mysteriously absent from the Forest squad for last night’s appalling 0-0 draw with Oldham. The official reason given by the club was that he was injured, however according to the BBC he has returned to Scotland for ‘family reasons’.
Lennon revealed last month that he has been suffering from depression for nearly a decade, so this may have something to with it. One rumour though, which has apparently come from a member of staff at the club, is that Lennon and Colin Calderwood had to be seperated after getting into a training ground fight. Lennon is said to have criticised the manager’s methods, with the full backing of the squad.
Forest have said they expect former Celtic captain Lennon to be back at the City Ground in the near future.
